Default CEL codes...What should I replace?

The truck is a 1994 1500 SLT auto trans with the 5.2L I just bought this truck and is my first experience with dodge trucks. Check engine light is not on when truck is first started, but once put in gear and driven approx a 1/4 mile, sometimes less, the CEL comes on. Scanned it this evening and it read 3 codes: 37 trans temp sensor high voltage; 37 open/short in torque converter part throttle unlock solenoid; 32 open/short detected in EGR solenoid. Noticed the truck surges sometimes while pedal is slightly depressed while driving at slow speeds also. If any of y'all could give me some advice to point me in the right direction to take care of these It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you much!

Yeah it seems to shift up through the gears just fine and very smooth shifts and deceleration seems normal too. Looks like an after market or rebuilt transmission to me. Don't know if its important or not but on the top of tranny in yellow marking it reads: Needs oil cooler and one way valve

truck also looks to have an extra plug hanging down alongside the transmission. Its a 2 prong female plug. Does this go to anything? I can't find any empty port for it to plug into...

Took it out again to day, and the surging only takes place between 30-35 mph and its almost like I take my foot off the pedal and back on. the rpms do change when this happens. Also I noticed that after a decent drive it would try to die at stop signs and it would start to get a rough idle while parked. But it almost seemed like after the truck was shut off and then restarted it would all go away for a little while then come back again after a short drive. This is really startin to get frustrating...Has anyone encountered this before? and what did you do to fix the problem? I've only put 150 miles on the truck since I bought it and thinkin it might not have been a very good purchase now unless its gonna be an easy fix...

You have that same extra plug hangin? Well today I replaced the EGR valve and EGR solenoid, took it apart and the pins were rusted away. Truck runs much better and doesn't seem to have the same surging feel as before and doesn't die anymore at stop signs and that deleted the EGR solenoid code. As for the Trans temp sensor high voltage? or the torque converter part throttle lockup solenoid? The local parts store sells two different solenoids but they can't tell me if they are the overdrive solenoid or the TC solenoid. The difference is that one accepts a 2 prong plug and the other a 3 prong plug. I found a diagram of the transmission and it looks like the solenoids are located on the valve body and they are accessible by removing the pan and filter..Anyone ever changed one before? Thanks for helpin me out on this dakota! I sure appreciate it!
