ok, so you hear dodge is notorious for having tranny problems, and the 2nd gen with the rusting, and cracked dashes. but i was wondering what kind of problems are chevy and ford known for?

The cracking dashes are really only the 2000's and 01's... mine hasnt cracked or rusted. And honestly, if you look at the ford and chevy forums youll find that they all complain about tranny problems too

 

the 5.4s are known for blowing sparkplugs due to the incredible amount of power (and not enough threads in the head )

 

no $hit there tranny problems! One kid at my high school said my tranny and transfer case sounds like a jar of change.

 

Ok, no need to flame, i was just wanted to know. i just didn't know because dodge is the only truck i drive and wouldn't want to drive anything else.

 

the ford E4OD trans blows
the chevy Druacraps suck
and some early ford 6.0s had computer trouble and weak head bolts

 

I know my last GM 4x4 liked to eat upper and lower ball joints, damn IFS.
