It's probably the chain skipping a tooth. I'm still hoping with mine that the front shaft is the prob. The Carden joint squeaks badly, so I hope the ujoints are just froze enough so I can't check them by hand. Please keep us posted as to what the diagnosis is. And I will do the same after I rebuild the front driveshaft.

Btw, my TC is a new rebuild from a year and a half ago, and I've only used 4wd maybe 8 times. So I find it hard to believe the chain is bad.

I can live with out the 4wd thou i dont really use it ever cept when its bad bad out. i live in iowa so its ok lol! I hope that it is a easy fix otherwise i will not be able to afford to get it repaired. it could be something to do with the drive shaft or u joints to i shouldnt of went down that bumpy road lol! Im taking my truck tot he pros tommrow and there gonna look at it and diagnose it i will go from there and i will keep you posted.
