Default 95 - 318 dies when going up hill

My dad has been having problems with his truck and replaced the second fuel pump within the last year a week ago due to it dieing when going up hill. He found out today when trying to go up a steep driveway that it died and wouldn't restart. He let it set for 15 minutes and it started right back up.

I am a 3G CTD guy so I don't know much about the 2G gas burners. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Check the catalytic converter. if that blocks up or breaks it will generat a TON of back pressure under load and will kill the engine.

can you check fuel pressure at the rail, when its running and when its not running. should be (i think) about 49. my old chevy used to do that and it was the fuel filter clogged from rust in the tank. some people report having rust and crap in the rail.
