some weird problems
ok, so i've been having some weird problems lately. i know this is gonna sound bad, but i had to put some radiator stop leak in my radiator yesterday (it was an emergency, otherwise wouldn't have done it). well, that fixed the problem of it leaking, but now, as im idleing or going down the road, the temps like to fluctuate between 195-240/250. my norm is 200-210. any ideas what might cause this? im thinking the stop leak pellets might have clogged something. idk.
second question, is it kinda normal for an engine to knock a little when its idleing? i just changed my oil today and noticed it when i got home. idk if it's anything to worry about. any info is appreciated. Thanks!

If you put the stop leak in and it collected in the heads somewhere and clogged a cooling passage, the resulting lack of coolant flow could cause a cylinder to get really hot and start to predetonate.
we'll see, it was clogged in the reservoir when i checked it earlier, i dug it all out and it seemed to stabilize a little. we'll see. those damn pellet things are suppose to dissolve lol. oh well, we'll see what happens. if its not fixed, ill just drain and flush
plan on draining and flushing tomorrow. i also figured that since the temperatures are fluctuating the way they are, that the thermostat might be clogged as what was said earlier. so i'll be taking that out and cleaning and/or replacing it. thanks for the help guys
