Silver,

I'll take that cover off of your hands if you don't need it. PM me with how you want to do the deal-- how much you want for it, etc. I'm up for taking out the cluster if need be. It doesn't involve lying on my back under the truck on sub-freezing concrete in the garage for hours, so it'll be quite the novelty.

Thanks all for the info-- much appreciated.

There is one cable that goes up under the dash by the underside of the steering column that controls the needle for p/r/n/d/1/2. Make sure you disconnect that before you try to pull it out. Also, I recall when I took mine out, I had to put the truck in gear (or at least pull the lever toward myself like I was going to put it in gear) to lower the shift lever out of the way enough to get the cluster to pass by the lever and the dash. You also have to tip it a certain angle to get room for it to come out too.

Sure no problem, you can have it. I'll send you a PM (maybe later tonight or tomorrow). Got to go put my daughter to bed right now.

Damn, last night I got to school a bit early and decided to pop my dash cover off to check out my instrument cluster. Well, I was right, just like Silver also said, the screws are on the outside. But in the process I broke a small piece off my dash that the trim snaps into. Oh well, there are enough still in there to hold it in tight!
