I replaced the rear pads and rotors last month. The first time i installed the pads dry, took it on the road and had the most horrible squeeling problem. I ripped it apart again and used brake quiet on the pads, they are still doing it, its embarassing to drive around because its SOOO loud.

I have heard about certain brands of rotors and pads squeeling on certain vehicles. what have you guys used that has worked, i would really like to hear from those of you who have rear discs.

Just wondering if you cleaned the new rotors real good with Brakleen. Sometimes they have this residue on them to keep them from rusting.

Just figured I'd mention it. I have seen instructions in the box that say you don't need to.

well, i am using auto extra pads, they are the house brand for my parts store. I bought Raybestis (spelling?) rotors, but someone told me their pads were hit and miss, so i figured $25 for cheap pads is worth a shot, considering the rotors were $105 each with a hefty discount.
