Default Steering Problem

Hey guys I'm new here. Just bought my first truck today. 97 Dodge Ram 1500. I'm lovin it so far! But it's got quite a bit of play in the steering wheel. I read a thread on here about Adjustin the Steerin Box. Does this sound like what is most likely wrong with it? Thanks yall!

you will need to check a couple of things first. Track bar (search it) and check the rag-joint and splines on the intermediate steering shaft, between the steering column and steering box. those are the most common problems, but you should aslo checka ll your balljoints, and tierod ends.

You'll want to check the slip joint on the intermediate shaft also. You need another person to turn the steering wheel left and right a few inches each way(without the truck running) and start looking at whats loose.
