replacing tracking bar
thanks for your help guys .........well what I found out was the track bar for 94 and up is shorter than the track bar they gave me for the 98 they look the same so today I am going to pull the one out again thats in there and if this one drops in then I will leave it in otherwise I will go get the one back they say is for the 98 and do the adjustments after its installed ,great forum thanks again
shorter??? how much shorter? they should all be the same for 2nd gen's. It is also a good fix to use a 3rd gen bar on it with a replacement bracket from solid steel industries

another source of a better replacement is thurenfabrication.com I had one of these on my 2000 and never had a problem with it. I also have one of his bars on my 2005. the stock tracbar sucks and can wear out and have play in a short amount of time... I wore out a replacement from napa in 25k miles, then went to the thurenfab one and never had an issue after that.

back again....the track bar I took out came from NAPA the one I was trying to put in was a MOOG the MOOG is 1 inch approx longer than the napa and the napa has an extra offset so ended up getting a napa again and took the moog back took a couple of phone calls to the last guy that put one in this truck to find out where he got it then the problem was solved
thanks again for all the info hope this saves someone else from going through all this crap
