Default Link To Make Your Night Driving Brighter!

I have always wanted to do this - finally found a link on how to do it on another site. This link shows how to eliminate the relay that shuts off your foglights when you switch on the high beams. http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/mods/el...ight.htm#Hifog (Warning; may be illegal in your area - so I'm not responsible if you get caught by the one a hole cop in your state that don't like it![sm=crossbonesgif.gif])

I haven't actually got to try this yet.....as I got an emergency appendectomy for Christmas......when I can get back outside I'm going to do it though

Works now, thanks!

Oh and I think I would have asked for something else for Christmas other then a Apendix Surgury! Hope your feeling better, took me weeks to actually feel human again after mine.

I havne't done it either although have wanted to I saw a link saying how to do it one time then couldn't find it again and people told me they didn't know of a link and thought I was crazy. I may try it. Any negative effects it may cause?

Thanks for the tip! On a trip out west this fall I got to really use the fog lights and was really impressed how they picked up the deer on the side of the road(Its pretty dicey driving through Texas hill country at night). I thought something was messed up when I hit my brights and they cut out.

I know what you mean, we have a buttload of deer here also, and the more light the better. This is the first truck I've had with factory foglights, and I was highly disappointed to find out they weren't always on. I can't see any cops having a problem, as I ran aftermarket fogs for years with the brights and never got hassled for it......

P.S Off Road Teacher, just curious, what size wire did you use forthe jumper? Don't know if it matters......

I can't think of any negative effects, other than some people on the other forum said they thought it might be illegal. I don't see this as a problem. The mod that turns the low and high beams on at the same time looks a little scary to me though.....might be too much heat.....

I just used a piece of 14 guage I had laying around. Seemed to work well so far, I am going out tonight and will see how much of an improvement it makes.
