Anyone who puts a hemi orange frill on their 99 318 4X4 has GOT to be a queer, and needs his truck priveleges REVOKED... Do not pass go, do NOT collect $200...

Default Cracked to Heil

99 Sport QC, Black cracked severely but still all there. Was able to glue it all back together solid, feels strong. Currently have a dash cover over it while I decide on where to get a solid dash cap. Looks like a good one will be around $200

Even after 10 or so years in the Texas sun, I didn't have any cracks until I gave it to the dealer to R2 the heater core. They trashed my bezel, too. The crack runs from the VIN plate rivet to the mount screw that you can see, then out to the bezel. It wasn't cracked when I got it back but torquing and twisting from driving finally broke it. I doubt if I'll see another one now that the tension is released.

It's made of plastic so I can't see what good vinyl protector does ... shouldn't hurt but shouldn't help either.

I actually haven't noticed if my dash is cracked. Don't care, either. I have so many pairs of gloves, time slips, other crap up there that I probably won't even move them to see. I don't think it is, though.

My Rangers dash is IMMACULATE! The first owner got a dash mat with the purchase of the truck from the dealer, and it was on up until November of 2008.
