PLEASE HELP!!!! Backfiring issue
The problem started with a number 8 cylinder misfire so i decided to do a tune up i changed plugs, wires, cap, and rotor and when i started my truck it ran worse now it sputters and pops out of the exhaust. The original misfire code went away but now it gave me a random misfire code. If anyone has any input i would definitely appreciate it
If you bought an Autozone (or cheap) cap/rotor, take the cap back off and check to see if the carbon center button hasn't broken off and fallen down into your disty. This happened to me once because the cap was so crappy, it wouldn't seat onto the disty housing.
i disconnected the battery and still same thing
I already checked the wires thats what i thought at first because i tend to rush everything lol but it was right
its dark now but ill check the under the cap to see if anything is broken in the morning i did buy a cheap cap and rotor i think it was oe quality but it was from advance auto and i dont usually have good luck with them do you think a cheap cap and rotor would cause a problem?

another quick thought...
Did you unplug any sensors around the TB when you changed the wires and cap?

Thanks for the help i found the problem the first time i put the cap on it must not have been on straight so the rotor was hitting the contactors and it bent the tip of it so it was not firing the right cylinder at the right time as soon as i saw that i felt like a retard for it being so simple
