I have a 98 2500 and was wondering if anyone knows the schematic for the headlight connector.

I just need to know what wire color is low beam, high beam and ground.

I kinda have a question i have dual head lights ya know the lows/highs are seperate. I Was wondering has anyone tied them together so all four bulbs are low and then u can switch all 4 to brights? I have wanted to do this but not sure.

 

the lighting system in these trucks uses a switched ground, so the common wire is going to be a constant 12v, the high/low wires head to the switch and ground on the other side. The info i have here tells me that low beams are Violet/White, highs are Red/Orange and 12v for the left side is Violet, and rightside is Violet/Red.
If these arent them, tell me what colours you have so i can find the right schematic, there are a few different ones

 

9004 are the bulbs used for high beams on 99-01 Sport models and on all other models for high beams and low beams. 9007s are used for low beams on 99-01 Sport models.

If you're facing the same direction as the truck...

9004-
Left Wire = Ground
Center Wire = Low
Right Wire = High

9007-
Left Wire = High
Center Wire = Ground
Right Wire = Low
