o2 sensor problem
ok this is what i did. i put my new magnaflow high flow cat on today, and started to modify the exhaust a little to be able to make it a side pipe. i moved the rear o2 sensor closer, like right after the cat. and now dispite being brand new, the OBD system reads that it is heat curent malfunction or something like that. it is basicly saying the rear o2 sensor is bad.
how can i fix this problem??
do i have to have the o2 sensor so far away from the cat for it to read right?
and if i have to have it so far away, how far does it have to be so i know if i can still run straight pipe or if i should just still try to make is a dual out the back... even though i want to keep my spair. i have to keep my spair cause it is checked during the Marine Corps inspections

ok well i have the o2 sensor irectly after the cat. like it is even wleded on before the hanger is. so it is really close. i think i have to move it to after the hanger... thats all.
because it doesnt do it just going down the road until the truck gets really high into temp.. so i should be good by moveing it back alittle

Yes, you are baking your O2. The cat burns off excess fuel and runs hotter out than in. You need a little more distance for it to cool down a bit.
