Now is his stereo the best? No. However, it probably is better than the factory setup which is crap. How many people actually put super nice stereo's in unless their hobby is car audio? The majority I know other than teenagers leave them stock.
And Im sorry I come off that way, I dont think any of my stuff is the best, do I think my front speakers are incredible, yeah, Im not gonna lie...but when you buy a $600 dollar set of speakers you kind of hope that you can say they are quite a pair of speakers... the sub I have, its good, it honestly cant keep up with the speakers though, which is kind of disappointing, so if I thought it was the best then why am I replacing it as soon as I can...? And I spent a lot of time setting up my stereo the best that I can, no conventional setup, so I like the fact that I can show that off... but besides my stereo, I wouldnt even dream of competing with most any of the dodges on this site over anything else. again, Im sorry I come off that way to you hometheaterman.

NO but Seriously because I'm a fan of the trade. do you really have a nanny and a check list when you get to work ?.
Yeah, I do have a "nanny and a checklist" when Im at work. Its called a Technical Inspector and DA Form 2408-13-2. I work on helicopters every day, and when something fails on a OH-58D(R) Kiowa that means you are putting pilots lives in danger. The engine I work on spins at 57,000 RPM and costs almost $500,000. So until you have something more than "I work on VW's everyday" why dont you keep your smart mouth shut. And as far as shops go, When I was 17 I was working as a full time mechanic, and when you start working on cars that are worth more than $50,000 you start caring what the customer thinks and how well your maint. practices work.

Oh and one more thing, what aluminum are you going to make the plate out of? Do you know how to back drill holes? I mean seeing how you are so up to date on this aviation stuff.......Im betting you dont know the difference between O material and T6. And if its just that easy, why arent you doing it?????

Is something was to fail in a airplane there is "backups for the backups" when it comes to hydralics sytems ETC... BUT in reallity I don't care... I was agreeing with you and throwing back the same size stone ( with your "AVIATION grade is stupid " comment or whatever you said ). that's why I pointed the ovious in your field of work .( nanny & check list) No big deal I just wanted to make you look like a lazy douche with a big job title....that most guys that greet people at walmart could perform because there isn't almost any gap for error .

I didn't really mean nothing I just said, I'm sorry I just can't help myself I love to make myself laugh

T6 is the hard stuff is all I know and it's used on auto and aviation and bla bla bla... COMMON stuff now days. hell my Aeromotive AFPR is built of that 6061

O alloy ?? I can't rememver hearing of before untill you asked me. but form I read it's a softer alloy.

Did I miss anything on my basic knowleged essay about alloys ?

Question

Wow, this thread goes so many different ways... rtv and permatex, then tires, plenum, different alloys... and now fog lights?

Yeah, there are backups in aviation, but let me ask you this....How many times do people survive helicopter crashes? Not that often. And there's no ejection seat. Yeah, you passed your general knowledge of how to google types of aluminum. Yes T6 is very hard. But its not used that much on cars, and not as much as you would think on acft. B/c T6 is so hard means that you cant bend it w/out it cracking or stressing the metal. Hence why its not used that much. O material is aluminum that you have to bake to give it the temper for what ever job you are doing. T6 and O are the same metal, aluminum, the name just refers to the temper that the metal has. Yeah, I guess any wal-mart greeter could do my job......Yep.....but until you start doing a job that people's lives rely on, pretty sure you cant say much. Not just my pilots, but all the ground guys out there that depend on us for firepower and recon. There's a reason why wheeled vehicle mechanics dont work on acft.
