Default Round air cleaner hissing

I put mine in a while ago and its always hissed when i turn on my truck. After driving for a bit and letting my truck warm up the hissing noise goes away. Just wondering if anyone with the round air cleaner has found a way to get it to stop hissing

I have the elderbroke Tri Power air filter. It is very noisey even when warm. Its just alot of air being sucked in., It is perfectly normal

I think it only does that while the truck is in open loop. Its kinda the wrong intake if your
looking for something quiet.

Yup, they are noisy for sure. Most CAI's I tried were noisy too. The fipk was the least noisy, but still made some noise. The stock air intake is designed to be quite.

i understand its going to be noisy but it makes the same noise the stock box makes when its not on tight enough. The hissing goes away after a minute or 2 but i still hate turning on my truck and having people think i have a problem with it. I dont really mind it but i wanted to see if anyone found a fix for it and/or if anyone knew what causes it to do this

What you are hearing is just the air passing the partially closed throttle blades and the IAC at idle. The stock air hat muffled the sound like it was supposed to. Not so with the round, open air cleaner. In years past, I have seen some of these round air cleaners with what looks like a foam rubber band going around the filter. Don't know what the purpose of those are or if they muffle the TB sound.
