Double roller timing chain
How much does these aftermarket timing chains help on a 87k 360? Is it worth the trouble, They don't seem too expensive. Is it going to effect my throttle response?
the only benefit to a double roller is that the chains are less prone to stretching and the sprockets wont wear out as fast because the stress is split between two instead of one.
unless you're experiancing cam-timing issues due to a worn chain, i wouldnt dig in to change it. people only change them when they re and re cams because they are cheap and better and we all know that formula (cheap + better = awsomeness).

unless your chain is worn out, and/or rattling, then changing it won't accomplish anything. the only reason to change it is noise, high mileage, front seal leaking, or changing the water pump.
I only changed mine because it was giving me like 4-6 deg of retard. If it wasn't for that I
would not have bothered.
Side note: I can't believe how much slack the original chain had, must have been like 3/4
inch or so.

Thanks guys.. I think i'll jump in and do it while i'm doing my water pump. I was going to do it when my cam came in but i'm still holding off on that untill I can afford the Iron ram heads with the 2" intake. Figure the springs better match the cam and I might as well get new heads if i'm that far in......damn it's never ending
