heater
i have to replace the heater core on my 2000 5.9 liter ram 1500. are there any special tools that i need, any special tips on what to do, or problems that i will run into. also, that dash does not rattle now and i dont want it to rattle at all when im done. is there anything i can do to ensure that this does not happen?
any help is appreciated

When I did my heater core I just un-bolted the steering column from the dash and laid it on the seat and then un-bolted the dash and pulled it out as much as possible. Then I un-did anything holding the core in (shouldn't be much) and the heater hoses and lifted it right out of the box. Some people say that they had to disconnect their A/C to get it out. I didn't and it worked fine.
Make sure to take your time and look for anything holding it down so that you don't spend time trying to pull something out that is still connected.
Good Luck!
