I just had the same problem.
Turned out to be the infamous track bar.

As for your problem I was going to guess ball joints but then saw you said it wasn't that and when I saw someone else posted cv joint it hit me as I've had that issue on our 96 Accord.

Rember these trucks dont have a solid axle
not ball joint , or tie rod.. ( good guess)
this part is found on front wheel drives ...

The TSB was for the steering shaft , but not the problem..

Must be confusing me with someone else. Im still stock engine.
