UPDATED:

I just spent the good half of the afternoon doing the rear brakes.... come to find out I may have put te wrong shoes on.. I think one shoe is bigger than the other.. so I think one side has 2 big shoes while the other has 2 small shoes... I could be seeing things but it's hard to tell cause there was nothing left from the orginial ones!! I will be taking a closer look tomorrow! Also I learned that brake springs freaking suck!.. really makes me want to do a rear disc convrsion....

on the brighter side of things... my superchips tuner came in today!! I reset my tire size and set it on the performance setting and filled up with super gas!

I noticed my shift points changed... and I have a little more low end torque... I need to run a couple tanks though her the get the computer to learn everything... I didn't drive it very hard cause I was still worried about the brakes and breakin them in. I've got 285's so I set th tire size to 33".. but I think I need to change it cause now my speedo is like 2mph over what the GPS says... but they are worn down so they might be like 32.5" now

UPDATE: 3/23/09

The Fastman is installed!! OMG what a difference!! I got home late last night and couldn't sleep.. so I went out to the garage, and in about an hour, installed my new Fastman 52mm TB. Let me tell you guys.. this is easier than making toast! Dan includes everything you need.. even new 1/4" S stud if you have the 14x3 air filter!! Everything went together smooth! I sent the core back in the same box and even used the same packing material that he sent me.

The last thing to do is the rockers, which have not come in yet. I'm hoping they come in by mid week so I can install them this weekend!

I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE THAT HAS DONE THESE MODS BECAUSE WITHOUT YOUR HELPFUL INFORMATION, I WOULD HAVE SPENT $1,100 TO HAVE THE SHOP INSTALL MY GOODIES!!!!

Any tips or trick on the install? I'm not sure how to get to the studs/bolts on the valve cover by the master cylinder

just take your time. its not hard. i used alot of assembley lube to help hold the spacers in so they didnt fall out when i was trying to set them down in. i also left the coil wire off and cranked the motor till oil started coming out of them after install. this way there is no dry start up. make sure you torque them correctly. donnt over torque or they will break. thats what john told me anyway. you do have a torque wrench donnt you? start with the passenger side it is easier to get to everything. then when you get to the tighter side it will be a little easier.they say you can reuse the gaskets. but i went ahead and got new mopar gaskets. i thought no sense in putting it back together with used gaskets. and be easy with the pushrods. make sure everything is seated correctly before you start tightening the rockers down. and make sure everything is clean so you donnt get dirt or anything down in there when you pull the valve covers off. i also let mine run for about 10 minutes and then changed the oil. use lots of assembley lube on the rollers and where the pushrods seat on the rockers. i think that using oil will just make them hard to hold onto.

i guess thats it.
