Yep, thats DJ Gastons last truck. You used to be able to go to his web site djgaston.com and view all the different stages it went through (finished on 44" boggers with tons of flex and 1 tons), but it seams he got rid of the link when he sold the truck.

I think that pic is when he had 7" of suspension lift (5" skyjacker with a coil spacer) and a 3" body lift with 38" SSR's. Its a half ton truck.

That photoshopped one of yours looks badass helms

so, i could probobly see similar results with a 7" skyjacker and 3" body... then i could stuff the 38.5s that i want.

I don't know if you like the stuffed look or the lots of tire room look, but a guy down the road from me was running 38" SSR's on his 3/4 ton with just the 7" skyjacker kit. He may have had a tiny bit of trimming to some plastic pieces, but that was about it.

10" on your truck should sky them pretty good (just what I would do if it was me, but thats the look I like).

And as far as the money thing goes, I think most of us are in the same ballpark.

i prefer to see a decent gap, i dont like over stuffed tires.

I was really snooping on ps now. Im having ideas of using Fabtechs 5.5" kit, keeping my current spacer and adding an AAL. Then maybe as time goes on, ill upgrade to an ES longarm kit. the Fabtch kit is on for $1400ish and the Skyjacker is $2300ish, plus adding 30% because of the canadian dollar, woohoo, plus shipping and taxes... you get the picture

Looking at the body lifts i noticed a lot of 1500s with the 3" kits, they look good compaired to GM or Ford trucks with the same lift, but i absolutly HATE over exposed frame rails, so im trying to find a good example of a 2500 or 3500 frame with a 3" kit. i can only imagine it would look bad especially with the xsfer case skid plate already hanging like 4" down.

just so we're on the same page, would you consider my tires stuffed or not, i would like to see maybe an inch more gap with the 35s, thats my style. And trust me, when my shop goes up and i get all my fab equipment, i would love to jack this thing to the moon, as long as i have another truck to drive everyday. lol

I dont think a body lift on your truck will look much different than a half ton. The crossmembers are almost in the exact same place. Heres a diesel with 15" and 40's (3" of it is a body lift).

Heres the link to his most recent build. He owns an off road shop, and this is his mobile billboard. I think he did OK
