Red face I need a fuel rail

Greetings everyone. I need a fuel rail for my 98 Sport 4X4. it has a 360 v-8 gasoline engine. I had problems with misfires to the #5 cylinder ( SEE THREAD TITLED "CYLINDER #5 MISFIRE") well after taking the advice of 1 of the members i started flooding every tank of fuel with either B-12 Chemtool, SeaFoam, or Techron Concentrated Fuel system and injector cleaner. After the 3rd tank full the CEL went out and the truck has been running fine for 3 months now. I got a CEL last night but it was the # 6 cyl this time. I reset it and added 2 can of the Berryman Chemtool and so far it has not come back on. I've been hearing how these fuel rails get rust and crap in them. I called the dealership to price 1 and it was almost $500 new. Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove, clean, inspect, and reinstall these or have a better price one 1? Thanks!

justa take your old one off, take off injectors and spray the crap out of it....but if its that bad then your injectors will most definitely be clogged

Just a heads up
KRC doesnt mention that pc and engraving are extra. They dont include any of the billet AN fittings you will need. I got mine on sale and paid $450+ for my clear rails from them with 408ci engraved on them. Adding in the fittings and fuel lines will be close to 200 or more.
Took me 3months and a few phone calls to finally get them after paying for them.

OK will do. I'll get back to you to let you know what the out come is. They say those back injectors catch hell with trash in the fuel rail because they are at the back and that's where it gathers and pools.

Merely spraying carb cleaner won't clean out any gunk. You're going to have to take some time to run something through the rail akin to pipe cleaners in order to remove everything. If the injectors are clogged, a sonic cleaner will restore them to proper working order. There are plenty of threads here that deal with using a sonic cleaner. After that, you would be wise to replace the upper/lower O-Rings on the injectors.
