Looked under the truck the other day. Noticed that the weld is too close to the stock o2 sensor bung probably for them to cut it out and re-weld it without a bunch of grinding and bs. I did some measuring and decided to go with the 99439HM, the same that Aim did. I plan to cut in front of the o2 sensor bung and weld to the cat there. The 99439 comes with the o2 bung like aim had said earlier which he used for his wideband, but I will use that for my front o2 sensor. Also plan on having a 3" section of pipe installed (with a new o2 bung for rear sensor) between the cat and muffler to rid the adapter nonsense that I had done before since I did everything at a different times.

Stock y 3" collector, 3" in/out cat", 3 to 2.5" adapter, 2.5" stock pipe, 2.5 to 3" adapter, then a welded 3" extension, then into muffler.

My plan is this... 3" y-pipe collector to 3" in/out cat to 3" mid pipe to 3" muffler.

Hopefully the 3" mid pipe won't hurt too much, but it would make things a lot simpler for sure. Also going to push the muffler up further since the muffler dumps about where the rear tire is and I can't turn it out the side.

Aim, did you notice any difference between your new cat and the old recommended cat's. Im going from a 9" body (94109) to the 15.5" body (yours). Didn't know if you had noticed a difference between the two at all.... sound difference or more restriction or anything. Like I said the 99439 is on order, so whats done is done. Just curious thats all.

I began debating with myself again. I think I still want that 3" to 2.5" reducer after the cat, and 2.5" back to the muffler instead of the 3". It is a little more expensive to downsize, but what are some thoughts? I think the pipe is too big for my 5.2L

Up to you man... Lets just say I never expected to have problems since so many use the magnaflow cats but it seems that those who have them all seem to be having problems whether they are open about it or not. It seems most do the non fouler trick or... o2 sim, but for me that's not the answer. To save yourself some headache in the long run, I would just get the new suggested cat. I ordered mine early this week, will be here end of this week early next week, and will be put in next friday. I can give you some more info about it later when it gets put in if your interested.

Aim says the 94xxx are on recall so im hoping I can get a warranty return for the old cat.

I don't have A&A auto's around me back home but up at my college they have them. My roommate lives out near Allentown and I think he said there is one out that way. That was the first place I've ever seen that stocked magnaflows out on the floor so thats where I picked up the 94109 last year. They have mufflers, glasspacks, ... basically everything in there. I was shocked. Puts carquest, napa, advanced auto parts to shame back home. I called them up two days ago and they special ordered me the 99439HM. Told me $130 + tax. Hopefully I can get the 10% discount again through school

Yeah i have an A&A auto around me (the one in allentown) and your right they do put them to shame. Haha actually, have one up here on campus too. 130 though, thats rough. I only paid 80 for mine on ebay but ebay isnt listing the 99439 so i guess ill have to sell the one i have and get the 99439.

Oh, almost forgot, the 99XXX thats a 3 in single 3 out single right?

Bought the cat, muffler, and a pack of o2 bungs (let me know if anyone needs one ), and the 3" to 2.5" adapter... Picking the pipe up friday along with some rod to hang the exhaust with. This is much more expensive than I anticipated.

From what I understand, good bung is usually fairly expensive.
