would i benefit from bigger injectors?.....yes, i have searched, and from what i see, it would be no good ona stock truck, but this thread says that different heads would compensate and mine are ported, what do yall think? apparently mine are 18 and i can get some of the 24s

I don't really see where ported heads would make that much of a difference to need bigger ones.

Even with all my mods I'll be doing I'm staying stock. Thats one of the reasons i got a wideband to put on that way if they arn't enough I will be able to see it and upgrade if needed. No point buying them I ya don't need um

 

If your only going to 24's then I don't see a problem with it. My truck came stock with 23's

well, i was told that ported heads pretty much need a cam, so i figured that bigger injectors would deliver more fuel kinda like a cam, but i dont know either

 

I can say that the money you would put into new injectors would be better spent on a cam

 

well i can get 24.5lb injectors from a 95 5.9 and have em refurb all for around $150

 

All I'm trying to say is put that money away until you have enough for a cam. $150 is a good
start.

 

I've been told that the stock injectors are good up to 450hp easily.

The injector calculators are there to sell injectors. If you go too big, you'll just end up running pig rich and kill your gas mileage. Also, you'll have to get a programmer to be able to control the duty cycles and/or pulse width to minimize waste. Running too rich can also hurt ET's too.
