leveling help
i've got a 97 4x4 1/2 ton that i just got last monday and i got ran into a useless block of cement friday bending both links on the driver side busted my transfer case and bent my tie rods. it shoved the front diff back and over. my first question is while driving home my gpa noticed the tire was leaning in at the top(camber i'm assuming) how is this possible with the given front end setup? next question i been reading people are using 3/4 ton springs to level out the front. is that 2x2, 4x4, diesel, gas or what and what kind of lift am i looking at. any help would be great.
2X2??? haha, how many of us are riding 2 wheel drive 2 wheel vehicles :P anyone with any motorcycles that run front and back wheels?? haha, oh I know, those little things that the mall security has now that you stand on, what are those called again?? haha, just messin with ya man. Yeah, the 3/4 ton springs work to add lift, or you can buy a leveling kit, and its for the 4X4s, diesels would actually lose lift with a 3/4 ton gas trucks springs, it has to be a half ton obviously to gain any lift. As for what you are wondering about the problem with the front...well it could be many different things, but if you are driving a 4wd I would have to say that you must have bent your axle for a wheel to be able to be set different than the other sides, did you check to see if the other sides was leaning in the other direction, I hope its not because that will be an expensive fix needing someone who knows a little bit about mechanics... so I wouldnt be worrying about the leveling kit until you figure that out. And for future reference, doing this to be nice, its a 4X2 for a 2 wheel drive truck or just say a 2wheel drive... Just trying to help

At least I think they are the longest, they might be the same length as the v10 springs.... :/
its just a 1/2 ton 5.9 and the reason i'm worried about leveling it now is because in the event that i have to replace the front axle i got to pull out the springs. instead of tearing it apart twice i'll just do do it all once. but nothing looked bent when i pulled everything apart but the links i dont know. i was reading a post on here about having to get an alignment when u pull ur springs thats why i was asking.
not saying you were wrong i didn't read your post, i just posted the link.... i have a 2wd truck so i how about 2wd truck not alot about 4wd, just remenber that thread and posted it up
