wut problems did u have skyline? and razram the magnaflow is the best but if you do not want to spend the money just gut the cat. knock the platinum and sh*t out of it with a pipe and weld it back on. i've been running my truck without a cat for many years and it sounds and runs great. only light i get is an occasional one for egr circuit that it had before the cat came off. of course my truck is a 95 so its obd1.

 

i wouldnt remove it just get a high flow cat as stated. In my 01 318 i was getting the exhaust done and there was a sale on the cats so i went ahead and got one put on it. Its a high flow Magnaflow with flowmaster 40 series and turn downs. Awesome sound and love the flow of it. didnt really gain much hp that i know of but it does sound like it lol ha. just a thought man.

 

if i put on a new magnaflow high flow cat wont i need a y pipe? because there is 2 pipes going into the stock cat.

 

Magna Flow sells the cat both ways. You just cut the old one off in the right spot and clamp or weld the new one on. Or you can buy the complete Y-pipe and cat direct replacement.

i got an 01 with the 318 i forgot the screw back in the o2 sensor it ran like crap i just cut my cat off cause it was getting clogged i just ran straight pipe and got the cherry bomb extreme muffler but it didnt work it still sounded like straight pipe so imma get the 10 series flowmaster. my truck does seem to idle better and there isnt really a delay when u push the gas
