Limit Straps installed.

Limit Straps installed.
After a cut and adjustment on my drivers side, my limit straps are installed on both sides. Pictures:
The welds are beautiful, but I covered them with rubberized undercoating. That's what the bubbly looking stuff is.
I can pound over huge bumps at 40mph now and not hear a damn thing from the suspension.
Limit Straps = Win.

Over extension of the suspension.
Nice job. I need to get me a set of those. Ever since I have been running without the sway bar I have been worried about leaving the ground in 4 wheel drive, as it now droops enough to bind the front shaft. That would be a doozy. Where'd you get those?
And dayyyyyyyyam, nice workshop ya got there.

ORW, I bought them Locally. They are Beard 3 ply straps, they can be sourced all over the internet. SoCal has a ****load of off road stores because of all the desert racing out here.
My lift altered the geometry of my suspension. I ground the edges of my bump stops to give me another inch of travel, then limited them there. I pre-run out in the desert, and sometimes run the Prim and Glamis Courses.
There is a 4 runner, multiple quads and bikes, jet ski, 70 Challenger, Manx, sandrail and a bunch of other stuff we have in there.
The Manx up front there was getting worked on because we're installing long travel suspension to it. Should have about 14 inches when we're done.
I'm currently in the process of designing bolt on long travel for my truck. I should have about 18 inches of travel, with only a hoop and minimal engine cage. I'll be running a 35" tire by then. Locked rear and deavers as well.
The 4 runner there is getting a supercharged 350 and long travel as well.
We're desert people, we pre-run.
Those are procomp 9000's. Great nitrogen filled shock. They are designed for +2 inches of lift. Longer 2wd shocks are all over the place, just look a bit harder. 4WD shocks will not fit 2x4's btw.
People on this forum are deadset that 2wd trucks cannot offroad, however where I live, you will rarely see a 4x4 in the desert. In fact, most built trophy trucks are 2WD.
