Default hard start

I have a 1996 Ram 5.2 with a slow start. I just replaced the fuel quick connect and the pressure is about 48psi. Once running the truck is great. It just chokes a little sometimes. Other times it starts fine. How can I tell if this is a fuel delivery problem or a cam or crank sensor issue or other wise. The fuel pump is new and the injectors were cleaned at napa.

have you looked at your ignition system? what lead you to believe it's your fuel system that's the problem?

I could smell gas when I parked and after a while it started leaking around the top of the pump. I am not sure if its ignition related, but at least I think I had a fuel or vapor leak. I took it down to Advance for a code run, but it doesn't show any.

Default please help with hard start

This morning I moved around the asd, fuel, and starter relays. They seem fine. Like I posted before, the fuel pressure is about 48 psi. The truck is not showing any codes so I am guesing the cam sensor and the crank sensor are ok. Once the truck starts it is absolutely fine. So I don't think it is the crank sensor. Could it be the distributor or wires? The spark plugs are clean and well gaped.

After you connect the pressure gauge and start the truck to read the pressure, turn the motor off and watch the pressure gauge for 5 or 10 minutes and see what the pressure does.

as far as the plug wires are concerned, did you route them according to the TSB?
