At the very least you'll want 4:10's, but with 33's and up 4:56's may be the way to go. As far as finding out what you have now, you can go to your local dealer and give them the vin # and they will print out a build sheet for you.

Do you thank with that gearing I would lose any mpg or would I get better mpg I am getting about 11 all the time

I hope others will chime in here, but, the bigger the tire with the stock gears, the harder the motor has to work to get the truck moving. BTW, there are tons of threads here about gearing.

Ive got pro comp m/t 33's with 4.10 gearing. Truck drives like a champ. Pretty good mpg considiering whats done to the ram. Anything larger than 33's go with the 4.56. Your mpg will either stay the same or improve a little(not exactly sure). But in any case, the engine is working a lot less more with the 4.10s or higher than with your 3.55s

Where can I go to get a good deal on some gears. I have never set up a front or rear end. so I may need some help. How hard is it to do

try looking at the underside of the hood, there should be a small sheet that has several codes and what they are, including trans, axles, GEARS, and paint codes, dont hold me to this but it may also tell what motor you've gots
