Just make sure the ball ur usin is the 1" diameter shank and is rated for 5000lbs. The hitch ball is the number one missed thing in towing. We had a dodge ram 3500 dually come in with a 10,000 lb rated hitch and a heavy duty draw bar which had a ball only rated for 2000 lbs. thinkin he could tow anything.
now that would be comical to see....

Wats even better is when ppl come in and they're trailer wiring harness doesn't work and they swear its not the truck b/c they just got done towing their boat/trailer/mother-in-law and it worked fine then I show them the burnt fuse. The looks on their faces gets me eveytime.
