can anybody tell me what the best oil filter is for my 01 ram 5.2l

 

I usually use a Mopar filter available from your dealership parts dept.

 

I use the Fram Tough Guard ?FG16? filter, it gets changed roughly every 3~4k miles or so...

 

I also use Fram filters. My main concern is that the filter isn't Brand X. Name brands like Fram or even Napa. As long as it filters out the smallest particulates possible. I worry more about the brand and type of oil than the filter. I'm am militant that only Valvoline is used in my hooptie!

 

what kind of oil do you use?

 

15w50 mobil one in all the cars. But I live in CA and the weather is pretty mild compared to most of the DF'ers out there...

 

I run the long oil filter the old mopars and fords used. Equivelant to fram PH8. Same holes on engine side as the little one. [sm=patriot.gif]
