Unhappy Help with misfires?

My 4x4 seems to be allergic to water. This is simply UNACCEPTABLE. When I nail a mud puddle, she'll spit and sputter for a short time this time, be fine others. Also, sometimes when driving in the rain, she'll complain. Once, the CEL started flashing and set a misfire code. My vacuum is slightly low, so could it be a leak to the transfer case or something (I also suspect a leak to the heater box)? My grandpa said that some mopars are just very susceptible to moisture (one of his cars would shut down mid-freeway in the rain). I, however, can't abide such. I have replaced cap, wires, plugs, coil. I have discarded the stock parts. Any thoughts?

In addition to the above, I bought a previous set of wires at Advance. On a wet day, she missed like crazy. My dad and I cranked her up after dark, and you could see arcs of electricity all over the wires. I called Advance to complain, and they said that was normal (yeah, right). All they would do, however, was swap the set with another. Could these just be sorry wires?

It's not normal ... they're not supposed to do that. Do they still? If so ... there's your problem. Get a GOOD aftermarket set.

Or just replace the leaky wires with good ones and don't worry about it.

I've done the wire route thing and bought little plastic separators for them. These WERE (advance's) "good wires". Is Auto Zone better? Or should I go to NAPA?

Did they have "Better" or "Best" wires? What's the diameter? I'd use no less than 8mm.

if you don't like shopping on the internet, your best bet is to go to the parts store and order a set of MSD superconductor wires.

You can also go to the dealership and get the Mopar Performance wires.

Also, I highly recommend using Dielectric grease on every terminal in the ignition system. Plug boot ends, ditsy cap points, even at the tip of the coil. A coating on the bottom of the disty cap helps seal it too.

Check the coil for cracks as well.

I used to have a bogging/hestitation condition on a wet day and I found that Dielectric grease does wonders.

I'd use no less than 8m. I always overkill so I never have to worry about it again.
