Default New Guy needs help

HI,
I have a 99 dodge ram 4x4 it has the 8800 pound suspension,5 speed tranny.

over the past couple weeks I been feeling a banging under the drives side front floor and it also feels like the drivers side front tire is bouncing. I thought it was the shocks so i replaces them. it was not the problem. with the wheel off the ground i do not feel any play in the suspension or steering. everything on the front end feels tight. i took the sway bar end link off today and that seemed tight. also I had the tire re balanced and that was not the problem

Im at a lose. what else can i check to find this problem.

Check your steering shaft.

What did you torque the shocks to? Very common problem ... caused by loose shock mounts ... they should be torqued to 105 lb/ft. Also, a worn trackbar will cause this.

The shocks are tight. The first thing I thought of when the problem started happening was the shocks. so I replaced them. Ill double check the torque but im very sure its well over 100 lbs.

I just ran and checked the sterring shaft. There is some minor play in it. Im leaning to the track bar now since I can feel it very distint in the floor pan right over where they mount.

Ill take them off when the rain stops and let you know how they look.

If there is anything else i should check please let me know.
