Default Someone with a camera...Please HELP!

Can someone please take a picture of the throttle valve cable where it connects at the transmission. I think I am missing a piece or its setup wrong or something. This isn't my truck, its a work truck so I'm not too familiar with it. Its a 97 5.9 diesel if that helps any.

thanks

That does kinda help. Couple questions: Is the left side of your pic the engine side of the trans? And what trans do you have? I believe I have the 47RE. Does it connect different?

Yes, the engine is to the left ... I have a 46RE but the cables are the same.

Awesome! that helps a lot. So the cable runs from the front, loops around and then hooks on the post for the throttle valve? Thats the way it looks. Explains why it didn't look right when i put it on.

thanks again for the pics.

You tried to use logic to install it, didn't you. Flush all that ... it's a Dodge.

I did try the logical thing. Made me wonder why there was so much slack and why that valve was backwards I thought i might be missing more parts. Turns out I just have it ran wrong. Could you give a brief explanation on adjusting the cable. I am not sure what the lock is and where to pry up and I may have already broken something

Booya ... quick search revealed this gem: http://www.bionicdodge.com/Download/...Adjustment.pdf

Make sure you have a PDF reader installed ... I use Foxit but most probably use Adobe.

Thats the one I've seen before. The clip is definately different on mine. Maybe different on all diesels? It's probably the same process. Thanks for the link though.
