If you've got white smoke you probably have a head gasket leak. You'll need to test for it (compression and/or leak down test).

You might have gotten really lucky and only damaged your head gaskets with that piece of plug, but regardless somethings terribly wrong and needs to be checked out.

 

If you're hoping it's gonna get better ... it's not. You're going to have to get that out of there.

If you HAVE to drive it ... AFTER you're sure the chunk is out, you can pull the wire off that plug (and the connector off the injector) so it won't be burning off your oil and smoking. It'll run like crap but at least it'll run.

 

He's says it's not steam ... definitely smoke. I don't know of anything that smokes white (except Seafoam ... but that's temporary). Pretty sure it's mounds of oil smoke.

Did you get the piece(s) out?

 

If it's smoke, then it's more than likely rings or gouged piston wall. Only other thing I could think of is the plug bit taking out the Exhaust valve seal, but that'd have to be a perfect-storm type occurrence.

 

I don't think the piece is out I have uploaded some pics on my profile take a look at how big the piece is, I heard the engine make a noise like the piston hit the spark plug was that maybe the cylinder crushing the piece into smaller pieces?
i talked to my mechanic and he is quite convinced the engine is toast. he said its not worth it to bore the cylinder?? Thanks for the input guys

I'm kind of speechless as to why you would put it back together knowing something is in the cylinder. In one of your posts you said you hoped it would melt.(not to mention the damage caused before it got hot enough to melt, even if it could) I guess if that was case, it wouldn't be a very good idea to make spark plugs out of ceramic.

 

time for a rebuild! :-)
