hey i have a 98 dodge ram 1500 reg cab 2wd and for the last couple days its been acting strange... first thing is when i starts her she acts liek she wants to die out but then she stops and just reving normal but i can start her up sometimes and she she start up and way to go be best of kind. second it cutting out on me like tonight i was parked and sat for 5 secs and then she cut out and then i started her up and she was fine... and then i was coming home and i stop to back up and as soon as i put her in reverse she cut out then started her back up she was fine..... and the third thing was like if im driving down the road doing like 50km i can push the peddle down a quarter and she just rev up and not speed but i push her down a little more and she would take off but she dont act like that all the time often but not all the time.. yesterday i got a new muffler put on and a new flange put on, on the y pipe i dont no if it connects with each other . also the other day my peddle stuck when i put her to the floor. i unno if that related ... soo anyone got any ideas .....

 

i would check you throttle body linkage and the such for the stuck peddle. and as far as your main problem, i would go out and get a new ignition coil. it's only like 30 bucks. if that doesn't work, you can always return it. same thing happened to me not too long ago. does it do it all the time? does it idle rough? feels like you're driving along and all of the sudden you lose power but your foot is still to the floor? probably your coil.

 

it dont idle rough at all and it dont do it all the time just a couple times a day its not like im losing power .. i put the gas peddle down so far and she would rev with lot of power but wouldnt speed up but then put it down a little more and she would just take off... but also the truck seem like it should have more power then it does dont getme wrong its a fast truck its the v6 but like i even haves a hard time to even burn tires its funny
