You don't think it's because Champion gives Dodge a sweet deal on plugs they buy in lots of 10,000,000?

I use the Autolite 3923's (copper) and have had no trouble with them so far. I re-gapped them after about 11K miles, and they had burned from .040 to .045 pretty consistently. The down side is that they probably need to be replaced about every 20-25K miles to stay good and fresh. The upside is that you'll spend about $12-$13 on all 8 of them at Wally World. I have heard nothing but good things about the Champion plugs, and they also make a "truck" plug with a thicker core. When I first came on this forum, the general consensus seemed to be, don't use anything except copper core on the Rams. But I say experiment...find what you like. I have tossed around the idea of using Accel race plugs next time...just need to figure out what heat range I would need. But for ease and peace of mind, I would go with the Autolite or Champion.

^^ I tried the Autolites and ended up with a Misfire #5 and my mileage dropped considerably. Platinum plugs are definitely out of the question.

I'm running the factory spec Champions with no problems. Next time I will try the indexing and see if that makes a difference.

I will have the very unique opportunity to index all of my plugs perfectly before the heads go on.

Well, I thought it was just making sure the gap pointed down by using magic marker on the insulator.
