Question Under my center seat...wtf?

So I removed my center seat because I am planning to put an amp there and wanted to remove the cup holder to make room (btw you will need to drill out the rivets if you do this).

When I lifted the seat I noticed a black box...no not like on a plane..wires come in and wires go out of it. Below is some pics of it. Anyone know what it is? I'd like to just unhook it and tuck the wires in but wanted to know wtf it was for.

Can't find anything in my manual so I thought of ya all. I would expect something like that if I had powered seats, which I don't. Any ideas?

dont the seats have pressure sensors in them that tie in with the air bags so that if theres no one in the seat the bag wont go off... idk just throwing it out there.

lol god I hope it's not some type of sensor and that is EXACTLY why I didn't unhook anything lol.

my best bet is to either read the sticker on the side of it, and try to get part numbers crossed or something, or you can trace wires back to wherever it goes and see what it's hooked to.

In the picture, it looks like there is a bar code on the side. That means it probably has a part number there. Call up your local dealership with that part number, and have them look it up. They can probably tell you what it is by that info. Post it here too, and i'll see what I can find out.

It has three numbers:

Top: TY1508E2459

Supplier Code: 39754C

Chrysler P/N: P56043003AD (Parts Number, right?)

Heated seats? I wish! I don't have anything powered when it comes to seats.

I did a quick google search on the P/N and got only two results...a Seat Belt Control Timer Module (SCTM) is what it said...wtf is that LOL!
