raced a crossfire today.
Question -
You have to install a ballast resistor when you installed the MSD coil with the stock ignition correct ?
Is it any beneficial in this trucks to install a MSD coil and wires only?
what is there to expect on the life time durability of your cap and rotor with and with out the MSD ignition ?
hmm, must have been the regular 6 speed then. Cuz i run in the high 14s
Nice list... I want your RR 's ! .

welkl i figure my two cents is worth nothin but ill add.
115 in a 3 ton truck is very crazy and kinda not something i would ever do. but the cross fires are not really anything special. if ya beat him pretty good. if he was just teasin ya, i guess we'll never know.
i want to have that kinda power in my truck to even think of racing anything. to include a golf cart...

2 ton.( just over 5100) My trucks very stable at that speed though. Feels fine, I do my best not to hit bumps though (then im F*ked). I also race my car on track on a regular basis so I guess that plays a little into it. I see what you mean though
Ive taken my ram much higher than 115 though.

Nope, no ballast resistor needed if you just install the coil and/or wires.
I installed performance wires and a MSD Blaster 2 coil. Didn't really notice anything concrete, but its supposedly slightly better at highway speeds/rpms.
With the complete MSD ignition system, unless you use some sort of platinum or iridium (or whatever) plugs, you will go through plugs a lot faster. It makes sense, rather than one spark, you're getting several, so of course the plugs are going to go faster.
Yep, you will also go through the rotor/cap a lot faster.
