A buddy of mine is looking to purchase this 97 ram, its in average condition, 2wd 5.2 auto, sport package, dealer wants $3999 for it, i told him to give them $3K tops. Anyways, what kind of things should he look at or check out on this truck?

 

check out the dashboard especially around the vents they are prone to crack. My dash started with one hair line crack and now i have no dash.

 

Also check balljoints,I replaced mine with greaseable ones

 

Tell him to tell the dealer he wants to take it to his own mechanic for a 100% inspection, or no deal...
