Where did you fill up last? A bad batch of gas can cause pinging.
Ethanol in the gas can contribute to, but usually its the ethanol + plenum gasket bad or ethanol + bad gas, or any combo of the three.
When was the last time you changed cap/rotor/wires/plugs?
