HELP NEEDED as soon as you can. Wiring Fog Lights
Hey everyone. So here's my problem. I'm running some fog lights on there own relay but I wanted to use the OEM Fog light switch on my 97 Ram including the harness. How would I go about doing that? I think I got it, in theory, but I want to make sure before I start messing things up. I figured, after looking at the service manual, that the 2 Black with ORANGE STRIPS are the GROUND wires. The BROWN with WHITE STRIP wire goes to the relay. The LIGHT BLUE wire connects directly to the POSITIVE BATTERY POST and the orange wire piggy backs off of the O/D SWITCH (I have a '97 ram so I might not make any sense to the '98 and up guys since the setup is different). So am I crazy or do I have something here? Any help would be much appreciated!!!
Get a volt meter and figure it out.
30 goes to the battery, 85/86 are your switching means, 87/87a are your lights. Connect the back of the fog light switch to 85, then ground 86.
Cake.

Then why did you reply to the thread?
I don't think you understand the question. I just want to use the switch. Not the wires or anything else. Just the switch...I'm running my own wires on it's own relay. Thanks for taking a look at the thread anyway.
