Superchips 3715

3815 looks cooler I don't know if anything changed tune wise between the two, but the 3815 does allow for more tunes. Obviously the older tuner won't be able to get them. The 2nd and 3rd gen trucks are elidigable for the Mileage XS tune which the older tuner will not have. There is also lots of talk on their support forums for wanting a 93 tune because most run 93 octane for the 91 tune (including me as there is no 91 octane at local gas station less I drive another 10 minutes). I am betting that the 93 tune will be released down the road at some point... again which the 3815 will be elidgable for to download. The 2nd gens can't use the data aquasition anyway so that isn't a plus to go with the 3815... but the resale value of the 3815 is pretty decent because it fits a wide variety of vehicles.
On a side note... After my pcm was updated 2 years ago, my torque converter lockup was moved from 45 to 51 (or so). Once you hit like 51, your in OD. Once you lose speed to hit 50 or 49. It kicks out of OD. I noticed that on the superchips tunes, (besides the tow tune as I haven't tested it), the performance tune is the only one that changes OD behaviour. Now with the perf 91 loaded... I still have to hit 51 to have the OD lockup, but now if I lose a little speed, it will still hold OD until I hit about 45mph, where it will kick out. I like this a lot! Infact I bet this will save me more gas as it won't have to kick up and down as much (because it usually does at the top of a hill im going up). Not only that... but I like how it handles itself now, and I seem to need less pedal to maintain speed with the superchips. Thats why im keeping it. I don't know if someone with the 3715 can tell us whether this OD change is true with their tuner, or just with the updated 3815 tuner I use.

Nothing wrong with it. I just am unable to run it in conjunction with my ProCharger. It was awesome on my *******ly stock motor. Figure I could get 100 for it. Im open for suggestions or a bidding war
