Do head bolts heat cycle?
No ... I've never heard of anyone retorquing head bolts. Think about it for a while. Every engine produced would have to have the valve covers removed and the heads torqued. That's why it's so important to get it right the first time.
There's nothing stopping you from pulling the covers and checking torque after a couple of hundred miles, though. Torque is checked in the tightening direction ONLY.

I would say that unless the initial torque sequence was off, or they were not torqued to the right specification, then you may need to recheck them.
Are you having some issues with the new heads???

just checking, I know headers bolts go thru heat cycles, wasn't 100% on head bolts, so I thought I'd ask.
No problems with the heads except the truck isn't back together yet and I'm sore as all get out from the last 2 days of work.
