Default ebay mirrors suck

Bought one for my truck off ebay.99 Ram sport power mirror.Looked very nice, but has no center insert support like factory mirror.Long story short, couldnt look at mirror without it shaking. Was useless driving down road due to vibration.Luckily the seller refunded my money.Dodge dealer has replacement heated glass insert.Just pops in,around 35 bucks.

I just bought one off of ebay and it seems to be ok so far. It has a slight shake when i'm driving, but my whole truck has a slight vibration anyways so I think it is just because of that.

Suit yourself though. It is your truck. Thats just my $.02

hhmmm i wonder if you stuffed the inside of the housing somewhat if that substance would act as a shock absorber and the mirror wouldn't shake so bad?

I think if you try to stuff the housing then one of two things would probably happen:
1) The stuffing would give a bunch of resistence to the mechanical motors in there and burn them out pretty quickly.
2) Whatever you put in there would probably end up with air gaps and moisture could get stuck in there and mold and mildew and what not.

Well, these things could or couldn't happen. I just thought I would throw that out there.

there is a loooooong stretch of salvage yards in Grand Prairie along Jefferson St. off Loop 12. one of them is a Chrysler only yard that actually takes credit cards. I think it's called Completely Chrysler. You should be able to find what you need there and IIRC correctly, they are open on SAT and SUN.

Yeah, here it is:

a '98 thru '01 mirror will work.
