Default Do I need new shocks with add a leafs?

Hi all, (I'm new to the world of lifts and suspension, so please bear with me)
Since I have to replace my front shocks and coil springs anyway, I'm gonna use this opportunity to lift my truck about 2". The front will be lifted with heavy duty coil springs and the appropriate shocks, but I'm unsure of what to do with the rear. My question is, do I need to get new rear shocks if I lift the rear of the truck 1.5"-2" with add-a-leafs? Thanks in advance.

Just out of curiosity, what are the advantages of replacing them now?

the shock sits at about 1/2 extended and 1/2 colapsed so by raiding it 2in. you won't have as much up travel and you will down travel if that makes any sence

i don't think 1.5 - 2" lift requires new or extended shocks. stock ones will have enough travel to handle it.

Thanks for the replies. I guess if I can find a really good price on a pair of rear shocks, I'll replace them, but if not I just won't worry about it right now.
