well my b-day is coming up and my g/f said i can choose something i want for the truck thats not to much $. well i think ive narrowed done to a cat-back or headers. well first off... i have a flowmaster 40 series muffler with just a turn down on... well when im at idle or low speed it sounds great, but at higher speeds or when i slam on it, it sounds more like air not deep sound or nothing just like air like a hole, ive checked a couple times n the only thing i can find is alittle air leak where the turn down is on the muffler... if i can fix this then i think ill just get the headers. but my questions are.... ill be getting the summit racing dual cat back. unfortanly bc i have a reg cab short bed they dont make dual out the rear behind the tires in that kit. only straight out the back, im worried about it clearing my trailer hitch? the kit is one to clear the spare tire just not sure about the trailer hitch. but im also worried about the sound, having a 40 series on now, but is the dual even though its a summit brand gonna be louder and keep that deep tone? or should is the headers gonna help louden and deepen it? sorry for all the questions but im goin to summit racing on sunday so im trying to figure out what i should do before then. thanks for the help guys.
