Default What size tires can I run?

Alright, for those of you who don't know, I have a 1500 4x2 with a 2.5 inch lift up front. Thus the truck sits slightly higher than level in the front. I have the suspension travel limited with limit straps, and now am in the market for a larger set of tires.

I currently have 245/75/R16's, and I'd like to know what you guys think the maximum size I can run would be. I need to know Width as well as Diameter. Keep in mind that I plan on running BFG AT T/A KO's

I'd like to keep my current wheels. Here is a shot of the truck for to see what my current tires look like in the wells:

Thanks guys.

I have a 4x4 but for your 2x4 I would say 265/75/16?

I've run those before and they clear with room to spare. With my lift I might actually have more clearance than a 4x4.

On my 4x4 (no lift), I barely rub the 285's on the upper trailing arm ... something you don't have. So, no less than a 285.

Yeah, I would say a 285 would probably be a good size.

What size wheels are you using? Stockers? If the 16's, I would say the 285/75/16 would be a nice fit. If 15's, BFG sells a 33x10.5 which would also be a good size.

What gears do you have in the rear? My father installed 285's on his Dodge (4x4) with the 3.55 gears and he couldn't stand it. Just another thought to keep in mind when choosing tires size.

I hate my 255/70/16 I could fell the power loss over my 245/75/16.
