1997 ram 1500 door rust??

salt in the north is a bi!!@ aint it. you could always do what i did but it isn't cheap.
you can get the doors reskinned and before you paint them have the inside rhino lined ( a very thin layer ) and no more rust for ever. plus it makes great sound proofing for the speakers

That's a good idea. For now going with a cheap, temporary fix. Next year I'll own a business and it will buy the truck, do a more perm. fix at that time when I can write it off.

from what i've seen the bottoms of the doors and rear bumper always rust out. i repaired the bottom of my door by painstakingly cutting out the old metal and forming a new piece and welding it in and it is already rusting a little on the surface because of poor paint quality i used. and ever since i've had my truck the paint on the roof is worn off and it is getting worse. its like the wind just strips the base coat right off. has anyone else experienced this?
