there only one and that guy is F#$ked trying to find parts lol.

 

since we are on the subject, in 02 they offered the 4.7 to replace the 318 and the 5.9 was the top choice because the hemi wasn't ready. so did they ever have any left over 318's that they used instead of the 4.7's in 02?

 

IDK, but I do know this....The 318 always sold more than the 360, so maybe they used up all of the 318s in the 2001 model year.

 

thats most likely what happened. i did a search on autotrader and came up empty handed. there may have been a couple made though.

 

I have an 03 with a 5.9 in it. It is the WORST of both worlds!!! For starters, I dont have the Solid front axle!!!! And then I have a left over 5.9, not the 5.7. So for anything engine, I have to tell people it is an 02 and anything else it is an 03. The only thing I like about the 5.9 is that I can rebuild it and stroke it for pretty cheap. But I want an 02 for the solid!

There is always that one guy.....lol. Its ok, lucky I havent needed to do a whole lot besides what I have wanted.

Im trying to get a superchips right now, and its funny. Im like, I have an 03, and they ask what motor, Im like, 5.9, 360. Ummm, we dont make one for that combo. Also, forget getting a distributor from a parts store. They will swear that your distributor sits too far back for an 03 model, and that a 5.7 wont fit. I have to buy cut my own spark plug wires because of it. Man its funny as hell.

 

See what I mean so just buy stuff from and early model like an 01 or 02 if that should work its still the 5.9.
